Tears

by Arva Fatemi

Tears that shaped a legacy.
A star that shines through sacrifice.
A color that bleeds remembrance.

This artwork holds layers of meaning drawn from deep respect and reflection. The repeated triangular forms symbolize teardrops, not just of sorrow, but of unwavering love and loyalty. Each tear echoes the collective mourning of a community bound by faith.

At the center, a star radiates, an ode to Sydena Mufaddal Saifuddin (TUS) illuminating bayaan this Muharram, reminding us that even in grief, there is guidance and light.

The red is deliberate, symbolizing the bloodshed of Karbala, the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS), and the eternal message of standing firm for truth, no matter the cost.

This is more than art — this is remembrance.
A prayer in form.
A reflection in color.
